What is the difference between the Nordic Catholic Church and the Roman Catholic Church? Also, Scandinavia has a pretty low proportion of Catholics. Nordic Catholic Church is a splinter from the Lutheran Church. They were the conservative wing of the Lutheran Church of Norway. It is a signatory to the Declaration of Scranton. Compared to the Roman Catholic Church, they reject the dogma of the Immaculate Conception, they reject the dogmatization of the bodily Assumption of the Virgin Mary and they reject the dogma of Papal infallibility. Also they consider the Eucharistic celebration in the Church is neither a continual repetition nor a renewal of the expiatory sacrifice which Jesus offered once for all upon the Cross, but it is a sacrifice because it is the perpetual commemoration of the sacrifice offered upon the Cross.

In other words, not really a Catholic church as such.

I suspect that this is more about Sideshow God getting to be properly ordained rather than just a member of the diaconate.

In other words, not really a Catholic church as such. Catholic or Roman Catholic? It's certainly not the latter.

The post lead me down a rabbit hole checking the difference between the Free Church of England and other "Continuing Anglicans" break-away churches to remind myself which one St. Ninan's in Whitby went to. They were one of only four "Anglican Catholic Church"es in the UK. And I thought the Scottish churches were confusing.

Paul Marshall appearing again in passing. He looks likely to take over the Telegraph.
