Congratulations to Toylyyev on what is now becoming a regular habit. I gave him a run, at least , and was still in touching distance while waiting for the last result to come through from Wales, but thoroughly let down thereby a poorish Lib Dem vote there which finally scuppered my challenge

Thanks. The added suspense was owed mostly to reading actual tweets and facebooks for the first time because of the triple crown chance. Below is the state of my predictions prior to doing so:

Cumbria CC, Corby & Hayton:Conservative 54.5, Liberal Democrat 45.5.
Medway UA, Princes Park:Conservative 55, Labour 29, Liberal Democrat 5, Green 4, Independent 7.
Strood North: Conservative 33, Labour 34, Liberal Democrat 3, Green 25, Independent 5.
Newport UA, Graig: Conservative 47, Labour 47.1, Liberal Democrat 5.9.

It did provide additional info on the campas in Newport and on the conservative one in Strood, but also made me misestimate the effect of the perceived efforts of the Independent in Strood and the LibDem in Princes Park.

I was wondering if anyone had noticed how close it was before the final result, something like 3 points! Congratulations to everyone but especially those on the podium, September's thread will be posted later today.
