Her Twitter feed shows only that she has today visited her local chippy, for National Fish and Chips day.

I expect she knows her plaice. I used to know a monk who worked in a fish and chip shop. He was a deep fat friar.

Isn't she the one who was suspended by the group two years ago "for trying to join the Tories" then reinstated by Region?

Isn't she the one who was suspended by the group two years ago "for trying to join the Tories" then reinstated by Region? The Tories denied it... The main thing was that she voted against the whip in full council, and encouraged others to do the same.

Peterborough composition now:
Conservative 23 Labour 14 Liberal Democrats 8 Peterborough First 8 Independent 4 Green Party 3
If Labour, Lib Dems and Green can pull together a quick agreement, it may be worth putting in a motion to remove Wayne Fitzgerald as council leader. The Peterborough First and Independents would have to vote against it.

And to think the Tories were a few votes away from taking overall control, just last month.

Conservative councillor for Keighley Central (Bradford) Mohammed Nazam has been suspended. He posed with a pride flag, then posted on a Pakistani Facebook page that he regretted doing so. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leeds-65954361

I was just hearing about this from my mum, he is in fact the mayor of Keighley. And doing that thing I really, truly despise of sitting under your party colours at one level of government whilst pretending to be an independent at a different level

Tbf, I don’t think his constituents will be under any illusions over his party affiliation as to be elected a Tory in that sort of ward will have required very high name recognition.
