Councils should throw the keys to libraries at parish councils and run away Harborne has a parish council? No, only Frankley (in Birmingham) and Royal Sutton Coldfield have parish level councils. The only serious attempt to have a parish other than that was Balsall Heath which has been carefully derailed for the last two decades by whoever is running the city. You would have thought that Harborne, Moseley and Bournville would have been prime contenders really given the number of fussbuckets in each of them.

Doesn't Toytown parish council cover nearby Dickens Heath?

Cllr Greg Brackenridge (Wolverhampton and husband of Wolverhampton Lanour MP of the same name) has been administratively suspended amidst a row over allegedly having exaggerated the length and nature of his service in the Royal Marines.

I was confused for a moment because the Labour MP for Wolverhampton North East is Sureena Brackenridge, not Greg Brackenridge. It would of course be possible for a married couple to have the same first name, especially if they are a same-sex marriage. It would be not as silly as the “celebrity” couple Ollie Locke and Gareth Locke, who (when they got married) decided to combine their surnames and become Ollie & Gareth Locke-Locke.

Unlike Evelyn Waugh and his wife Evelyn. The surnames matching too must be rare, even if the spelling differs, especially for heterosexual couples.

Jethro Tull's original bass player was Jeffrey Hammond, but since both his parents had the surname Hammond before marrying, he styled himself Hammond-Hammond as a joke.

Which organ did you read that in?

In view of my longtime interest in the music of Jethro Tull, I must be pedantic and point out that Glenn Cornick was Tull's original bass guitarist. He left the band (possibly pushed) after the 'Benefit' LP, Jeffrey Hammond taking over the role for 'Aqualung'.
