According to the Harrow Times, and the council's web site, Labour retained the Brent, Brondesbury Park ward, seat with some comfort: Gwen GRAHL Lab 1,871 Sapna CHADHA C 1,227 Sheila SIMPSON Green 469 Philip ALEXANDER LD 448 Majority 644 Spoilt papers 68 Turnout 4,083 (42.5%)

According to the Harrow Times, and the council's web site, Labour retained the Brent, Brondesbury Park ward, seat with some comfort: Gwen GRAHL Lab 1,871 Sapna CHADHA C 1,227 Sheila SIMPSON Green 469 Philip ALEXANDER LD 448 Majority 644 Spoilt papers 68 Turnout 4,083 (42.5%) That seems a surprisingly easy victory given the GLA results in Brent & Harrow and this being one of the best Conservative wards in Brent these days. Will be interesting to see the ward breakdowns for those elections. I wonder if Bailey did actually manage to win over significant number of Afro-Caribbean voters after all and this will show in a relatively stronger result in some of those wards where they are heavily represented (which this is not one)
