I don't see the election not being restored to the traditional weekend in May. It will either be 2024 (in keeping with the recent 5-year tradition, or 2023, restoring the older 4-year tradition.
It's entirely possible that which set of boundaries the Tories like more plays some part in that decision

Recent habit maybe. 1979, 1997, 2005, 2010 and 2015 hardly makes it a tradition yet.

Now that the BCW has published comments received on the initial prposals, do we know when the other Commissions will follow suit?

"The Commission intends to publish these responses on our consultation website during the week commencing 7 February, to give you the opportunity to take others’ views into account when providing your own feedback." from the link you shared.

And my guess is that there will still be no major party worth voting for.
I would never have guessed that would be your guess!

Hmmm.... currently without a car, I don't think I'll be able to get to Leeds for 9am.

There will be video recordings shortly afterwards, and eventually transcripts. (I seem to recall last time it was live streamed - odd that they aren’t doing it this time).

I see that on the BCE website the interactive map has disappeared and has been replaced by a massage that they are preparing the site for publication of submissions received and aim to go live with that on 7 February.

'replaced by a massage' -is that to ease peoples' feelings?

Last time (or the time before maybe?) they had an interactive map where comments were dropped as pins. I hope they do the same this time because it was very helpful.

'replaced by a massage' -is that to ease peoples' feelings? I'd take a massage over their annoying "interactive" map software anytime.
