Democrats swept the Pacific Coast in 2022. This map is satisfying aesthetically, if not necessarily politically 😉 The Dems were helped by Republicans nominating Sarah Palin in Alaska and Joe Kent in Washington's 3rd District

And that's despite the Dems losing some ground in California overall.

The closest Republicans got to a Connecticut House seat since Chris Shays won re-election in Connecticut's 4th District in 2006. The GOP just can't Connect with those Constitution state voters anymore, at least not federally

Montana got a new House seat and it trended left in a Republican year. A pickup opportunity for Dems in 2024. Ex Dem Governor Steve Bullock could have won this, IMO.

Freedom Caucus member Lauren Boebert scraped by in her West Colorado seat, aided by favourable redistricting. On the 2012-2022 map, the Democrat would have won.

Idaho Gov. Brad Little won his primary by a lottle due to split opposition, but lost several northern Idaho counties. Donald Trump backed then Lt-Gov. Janice McGeachin.

Elissa Slotkin has seemingly cleared the field in the 2024 Michigan Senate race. Here's her largest win to date, in the midterms, in Michigan's 7th Congressional District

Elissa Slotkin has seemingly cleared the field in the 2024 Michigan Senate race. Based on what? There is likely to be a highly competitive Democratic primary.

Brandon Presley is a star recruit for Mississippi Dems for governor in 2023, but he's got his work cut out winning this ruby red state. Here's what a win probably looks like

Keystone State Dems won the PA House for the first time since 2008. Josh Shapiro triumphing by double digits and John Fetterman winning by 5% across Pennsylvania aided them. Special elections in safe Dem seats on Feb 7th in Allegheny County will almost certainly confirm the win.

In 2022, Blue Dog Democrat Henry Cuellar was re-elected to a 10th term by 13 points in Texas's 28th Congressional District in the ancestrally Democratic Rio Grande Valley. He won by almost double Biden's margin after beating two-time progressive primary rival Jessica Cisneros.

Jared Polis won re-election by a landslide in Colorado, which hasn't elected a Republican governor since 2002. He dominated the Denver suburbs. GOP nominee Heidi Ganahl was the last Republican statewide official. Denver voted more Democratic than Manhattan in 2022.

Jim Jeffords's third Senate election in the Green Mountain State. He became independent (caucusing with Dems) in 2001 after his opposition to the Bush administration, including the No Child Left Behind Act, flipping Senate control. The GOP held this seat from 1856 to 2006. By 2024, Sanders will match Jeffords length of tenure.

VA last elected a Republican Senator in 2002. It doesn't look like that changes in 2024 as Kaine seeks a third term

Zapata County reverted to type in 2022. Trump was the first Republican to win it since 1920 but GOP hopes at the House level rely on Cuellar losing a primary or retiring.

Suburban reversion in the WOW counties compared to 2020 saved Ron Johnson's arse in the 2022 Senate race.
