Well apart from the Dandy and Beano, they also publish "Commando" magazine, the UK's longest running 'war' magazine. I remember Woolworths used to stock loads of them.
It's where thousands of teenage boys learnt the words "Gott in Himmel!" "Kamerad, kamerad!" and of course "Banzai!".
"Hande Hoch!" "Aus!" "Schnell!" - happy days!!

There's no way on earth that I'm going to subject myself to the ignorant hatred of Fox News, the closed minded weaponised nostalgia of GBNews, the extreme angry everything of Talk TV, or any of the rest of it. They're not news channels, they're biased propaganda sewer pipes. I read the Guardian, I watch BBC News, and that's the end of it. (Well not the end of it, Pod Save America, Quiet Riot, other similar podcasts)

What if anything, in your opinion, did people like you get so catastrophically wrong? Democrats can do all the reflection in the world, but fundamentally it is not they who need to reflect. no further questions

Do they still do The Sunday Post newspaper? I can remember my dad helping me write a strong letter when I was 10/11 and they were going woke and trying to ban Tom and Jerry for being too violent. At one time the Sunday Post was the most read paper in the world beating Pravda Population wise of course. at one time, within my lifetime, Scotland had more Tea totalers than drinkers and the Tories got over 50% of the GE vote

Me and school friend wrote a song consisting of various phrases like that (Mutter Hilf, Englander schweinhund, Feldwebel etc etc) and put it to the tune of Men of Harlech. As you do.. Well Eurovision is coming up and we'll be needing a entry.

You can carry on supporting the billionaire-backed and state-backed MSM if you like As opposed to the likes of you, who fawn over the almost literal trillionaire Musk. Musk has been a breath of fresh air in restoring free speech to X. Do you support free speech?

You can carry on supporting the billionaire-backed and state-backed MSM if you like As opposed to alternative news sites which are backed by dark money and shadowy sources from enemy regimes one assumes. Most of the citizen journalists I read are constantly cadging their readers to buy them a cup of coffee! I think fear stimulates fever in the imagination. It's possibly the same that we see in the climate claptrap in which climate fantasists appear to think that they are rebel outriders fighting well-funded opponents. The people I read and see are incredibly grateful for a fiver

Tell us the whole song I'm trying to remember but it was 40 years ago I recall one verse that was along the lines of Achtung Minen [some other phrase which rhymed with minen] Eat lead kraut Englander schweinhund

The USA imprisons its poor and pardons its Presidents. The USA isn't a democratic country. Of course it is a democratic country, far more so than the UK and most of Europe. That's the weird thing about it. It's definitely more democratic than we are, certainly much freer economically, socially and politically, but it's also more oligarchical than we are in many respects, with the federation overarching it all. It's a very interesting system, and it certainly seems to work. Even Mississippi, America's poorest state and their national laughing stock, is wealthier than we are.

Lots of history there, statues, Queen Victoria, the monument to Dundonians in the International Brigades etc. The latter is okay, despite my nationalist sympathies on that conflict. There's often a crowd round it tbf, so some people enjoy visiting it.

It looks like Harris will still finish behind in votes, but Trump may end up with less than the psychologically important 50% of the votes Kennnedy,Trueman,1968 Nixon,1992/96 Clinton, 1912/16 Wilson, Bush 2000 and a bucket load in the 1800s all got sub 50% so is it really that important especially as Lincoln won with under 40% against 3 basically pro slavery parties.

I'd still take the uk over Mississippi, but certainly it'd be towards the very bottom.
