Just how many rounds of appeals can she go through before a trigger petition can be opened?

Just how many rounds of appeals can she go through before a trigger petition can be opened? This is her first appeal, which has yet to be heard, so I don't know why you're implying it's some endless stream.

She strikes me as someone who would take their case all the way to the ECHR and even hunt around international, intergalactic and interdimensional bodies to appeal to if she could.

I agree with Tim here, she won't give up until she runs out of money and I suspect she'll try to grift cash from Corbynistas.

They weren’t forthcoming in the Onasanya case, and I doubt even they could afford the costs, and it’s worth noting that at Crown Court the CPS can apply for a Costs Order if she’s unsuccessful. Further appeals, I think, would require petitioning the Court of Appeal and having a hearing to decide whether the appeal has reasonable grounds of success, and only then, if successful, moving to the actual appeal, so that sounds to a layman like a hugely expensive undertaking beyond even a Corbyn backed GoFundMe fundraiser.

It’s very unlikely there will be any support for Webbe. Some people seem to have a curious idea about Labour supporters. Threatening a rival in a jealous rage is not something that left-wingers are known to enthuse about.

But what about "I am a black woman in a white court, facing a white system and white prosecutors. I have been deliberately targeted because I am vulnerable."?

If she tries, the court service should respond by listing it before a black judge. That would make the point nicely, judges are impartial and justice is blind.

judges are impartial and justice is blind. You've mentioned judges before. You have a touching faith in their abilities.

But I have more faith in the judiciary (asides from perhaps the overly politicised Supreme Court) than most other institutions because it generally does what it should do - be impartial and honest.

Given Labour supporters' views on her here long before her election, she probably won't be gathering much cash.

It might improve her fundraising chances though.

It’ll be heard, as I understand it, by one High Court judge sitting with two magistrates.

I am not aware of any rule that the judge must be a High Court Judge, though you may be right.

Yes, she'll try - but how many left wing legal defence crowd funders have worked apart from for the absolute boy? This is true, I suppose it may depend on if she gets the backing of St Jeremy or not, but I believe she will try. I didn't say she'd succeed, but I believe she will try.

Before the ECHR will entertain a case you first have to exhaust all domestic remedies and even then it isn't automatic. The appeal will be the final chapter I think.
