Another odd use of Luxembourg airport was in 1971, when I worked there. Loftleidir operated cheap flights to the US. This meant large numbers of mainly young people streaming into and out of Luxembourg. It looked strange at the small airport where the transatlantic jets stood alongside the Fokker Friendships used by such as me.

The turnout in May was 35.6% so it has fallen, but not by a massive amount.
I remember there was a byelection out of term time in the Lancaster ward that's almost entirely students which had a comedy turnout - it was won with something like 100 votes.

Newnham (Cambridge) result:
LDEM: 59.5% (+16.3) LAB: 18.1% (-18.1) GRN: 11.5% (+1.5) CON: 11.0% (+0.2)
Liberal Democrat HOLD.
Those changes in share, from Britain Elects, are presumably from 2015. Since May 2019, I think LD are up 9%, Lab down 10%, Green down 3%, Con up 2%. Approximately.

No figures but looks like Con hold in Irthlingborough Waterloo Quite a dignified tweet, not heard of him before. He won the seat back in 2015 after Labour had won the Louise Mensch inspired by-election. Very Eurosceptic, was a founder and CEO of Grassroots Out, was rumoured in 2016 to be following Carswell and Reckless to UKIP, denied it but said getting out of the EU was more important than the Conservatives winning what was then the scheduled 2020 General Election.

Indeed. LDem gain: LDem: 1,307 Con: 1,252 Grn: 125 Lab: 60 Appears to have been a good turnout and yet another close result in this ward. Persistence finally rewarded. Tory vote continues to be very resilient, and they must have an effective organisation at local level (relatively unusual in my experience)

Worcester Claines changes since May
Lib Dem 47.6 (+8,2) Con 45.6 (+3) Green 4.6 ( -3.7) Lab 2.2 (-2.7)
A successful remain squeeze for the Lib Dem’s!
For the Lib Dem’s a wins a win, and good to finally get over the line in this ward
As has been noted, the Conservatives were possibly able to put more effort in without other marginals to defend.
