I suspect he will be less pleased when he finds out disgraced former Lib Dem leader of Kingston Council, convicted child pornographer, Derek Osbourne, helped out: It is so obviously a hoax and only to be believed by those who want to believe it. So.....we've been busily discussing something here that didn't actually happen?

The principle of the discussion holds regardless, though.

I'm a pretty good place to answer! This had been our target in the Forest for well over a year, so our team had been working it for a long time. However, before the election got deferred, it was assumed that the top Indy was a shoe in for one of the 3 seats, so we had been campaigning on the premise that we were going for 2 seats. All of the leaflets had just had Gill and Vilnis on them. When the election got postponed, we decided to run a full slate, but obviously the months of just talking about 2 candidates had quite an effect! I suspect this may also explain the similar drop offs for the other 3rd placed candidates from the Greens and Tories.

Given that it was subject to some discussion here- in your view were we right to regard the 3 Indies as a slate, or were they actually three unconnected individuals who happened to stand as Independents?

My impression is that Kingston Conservatives would love nothing more than hearing the news that Derek Osbourne was back campaigning for the Liberal Democrats.

Very disappointed that Labour lost the Cannon Hill by-election and congratulations to the Lib Dems and Anthony. Despite Labour losing, the Tories came in third in what is the Tory leader's ward and it can't be blamed on UKIP as they had a dismal result in what is the most pro-Leave ward in Wimbledon(the ward voted Remain 57-43) Thanks Martin, we were certainly very pleased with the result.
