Lib Dem candidate has apologised for calling Labour PCC “Barbie doll”. He also called the independent candidate “poison ivy” and the Conservative candidate “man who walks into the room and nobody notices”. I actually found these discriptions pretty funny and very accurate.

He’s hardly a looker with bags of charisma himself, and very much seems to have the poison tongue.

One of the problems with responding to this kind of silly conduct is that you then get people defending the person who has been got at defending them and saying 'we need more people like them' in politics no matter how good or bad they might be.

It just validates bad candidates even if they subsequently turn out to be rubbish because they have perhaps undeserved sympathy to start with...
