- the District Council last had an election in 2019, the London Borough a previous by-election this year with the others in 2017.

Conservatives are defending 1 seat following the resignation of the previous councillor,
Labour defend 3 seats following resignations,
Liberal Democrats defend 1 seat although the resigning councillor was sitting as a localist Independent,
Independents defend 1 seat following a death.

Conservatives and Labour each have 6 candidates, Liberal Democrat and Green 5 each, UKIP 3, there are 4 Independents contesting 2 seats
- along with 1 each SNP, Burnley & Padiham Independent, For Britain, Libertarian, Socialist and Women's Equality
a total of 35 candidates for the 6 seats.

Predictions on this thread by 9.00 am on day of the election. For the Scottish Election the prediction should be for the first preference percentages along with the ultimate winner. The penalty for a wrong prediction will be 5 additional faults for the party ahead on first preferences and 5 additional faults for the ultimate winner.
