Strange things going on in Shropshire where Jane MacKenzie (Labour, Bayston Hill, Column and Sutton division) was disqualified under the six month rule yesterday but was then able to prove she had attended a committee meeting during the six months, and has been reinstated.
A classic example of how rules can sometimes be silly. Had she been disqualified it would have meant an unecessary by-election had the other parties not agreed to allow her to be returned uncontested

Rutland has 26 members. It is barely more populous than the 3 member wards of Birmingham, Leeds or Sheffield. That's a log more civically minded people to find
Birmingham doesn't have any three-member wards.
The previously-existing 3-member wards.
