Clackmannanshire Central should be a comfortable Labour gain on Conservative transfers I imagine. An SNP hold would be a very, very poor result for Labour.

Looking at the nominators for the Independent candidate in Wallington North, I recognize a few of the names, so I'm certain they are connected to the Independents in Beddington North. May throw a spanner in the works for the prediction contest, as it may be hard to gauge how they will poll in the neighbouring ward. Although I imagine they will be putting effort in, as will the Conservatives. I predict a Lib Dem hold though.

At a quick glance this now appears to be Lib Dem's safest ward in Sutton.
Are the nominators from previously known political background or just 'new faces'?
LD candidate from Carshalton South & Clockhouse ward, while Tory is from within the ward.

LD candidate from Carshalton South & Clockhouse ward, while Tory is from within the ward. I only really had a quick read through, I knew three, maybe four, of the independent candidate nominees from the Stop the Incinerator campaign, one being a former member of the Greens. Despite my name I am no longer in Wallington, nor could be considered as active as I once was (life has taken over). I have no news from the campaign apart from a couple of comments from friends.

I travelled through the Wallington North ward today en route to the Hope for their beer festival.
Very little activity evident. I saw exactly one window poster (Green) and one activist on the ground (a young, earnest looking LibDem). Presumably a comfortable LD hold that nobody else is unduly bothered with.

Hearing reports that Wallington North is looking closer than expected, not sure how much of that is spin though

More than an hour of polling left so no ballot boxes are open yet - sounds like the sort of spin campaign organisers give to gee up the workers in the last hour.

Clackmannanshire Central turnout 34.7%. Result shouldn't be long as there's an electronic count.

Some people predicted it. Meanwhile rumours of a Lib Dem hold in Wallington. Sounds like a pretty easy Lib Dem hold from my sources on the ground. But we will need to wait for the final result for confirmation. I've been texted lib dems, conservative, indie in that order. But just speculation.
