From about 1:30 through to 7ish on Thursday. First time I'd been there thus year. Ah fuck. I was in there from about 15:15 to 18:00 on Thursday (sandwiched by the Craft in Clerkenwell before and the Trafalgar/Sultan combo after). You would almost certainly have seen me at some stage then. I took my mum there for an early Mother's Day drink as she was going on holiday thr next day. She got a bit pissed and kept talking loudly to the cat...

On the balance of probability, I reckon I must have been in the same place at the same time as Arthur Figgis on at least ten occasions. Quite possibly more. We may even have traded the odd friendly word without realising it. Such is life.

Kumquat, participle and flam. That was one of the stouts they had on, wasn’t it?
