The sublime level of de-drossification of my party proceeds to a level inducing me near to eternal bliss. That I should have lived to such delightful times never contemplated even in the wettest of dreams. Everything about the woman is just do very LD. Why did it take her so long? You still have some not dissimilar people in Johnson's cabinet - Morgan and Hancock are the most obvious. Presumably you would wish them gone too? Both have made sympathetic noises about Rudd (and the wider purge).
I've always thought that politics can be quite personal. Rudd was, I believe, in a relationship with Kwasi Kwarteng, a reasonably keen Brexiteer. That ended last year I think.
Agree. I am quite surprised at some of his offers of office and even more surprised at their acceptance. I like the progress made so far and the general upsetting of carts and stalls, but still have distinct qualms over Johnson and his backbone. His history is not good. But there are some tougher elements in Cabinet and my backstop of the excellent Cummings. Those two are eminently expendable and to be frank so is Johnson. Cummings is the centre of what we are about.

Cummings is the centre of what we are about. And he apparently isn't even a Tory member! Probably an advantage if your goal is the deconstruction of the old party... Beware though. His focus is pretty narrow I think and he may well disappear once Brexit happens. Robust though he seems to be his family must be taking some grief and he appears able enough to do other things.

Been hearing rumours of Amber Rudd's defection to the Liberal Democrats. Given Willie Rennie has just directly referenced her name it's looking increasingly likely it will happen today. Is there anyone you won't accept into your Party? Several on this forum, I expect.

The late Oswald Mosley has today joined the Lib Dems. Jo Swinson has said that you need to look past his previous views and focus on his long history of advocating membership of the European project.

The long stored-up Heidi Allen? Would make some sense of Guido's rather over-excited report that she was going to join on saturday.

How many more MP's does Jo Swinson have to collect before the Lib Dems became the largest party in the House.
She's cleverly found a way around the fixed terms Parliament act.

His descendant Berengar the Brexiteer would have been a disappointment to him. Frank...ly, everything that came next '...would have been a disappointment to him'.
