I don't know if he's related to Eve Pollard. Pollard isn't traditionally a Jewish surname but Eve Pollard, also of course a journalist, is also Jewish. It tends to be an Anglicisation of Polansky, Polyakov or similar surnames in such instances.

Stephen Pollard used to be the editor of the Jewish Chronicle until December 2021. Now it is Jake Wallis Simons.
