I know someone who is high up in the local Tories there, his facebook comments about her, well shows the disdain some hold her in. Sounds like she would probably get deselected then anyway?

not so sure on that, he could be a voice in the wilderness. However when she went in the jungle and I asked about her his comments were 'good riddance'. His account is private and very restricted to who he allows to see it.
No idea if he represents the views of the association in Mid Beds but he is very very influential with some at the top table.
Cameron is spot on to refuse her the whip back and she defects, well let her ...

and shows the weakness of Cameron as she is a total liability to the party and everyone knows it. Why not let UKIP have her, I doubt many after the initial fuss would be happy.

Mike Smithson (who lives in Bedford) thinks she'd have a decent chance of winning Mid Beds at the next election as a UKIP candidate.

All the ramping leading up to the Queen's Speech must have been planted from her side, prodding Cameron into making a decision prior to "proper" Parliament happening

Mike Smithson @msmithsonpb
YouGov finds CON voters more hostile to return of Nadine than the public as a whole. See interactive charts. bit.ly/18tYhXY

The thing is, Nadine can defect anytime - but she can only leave once...
If she gets de-selected though, well she'd be a UKIP liability...

Letting UKIP have a seat in the Commons, even if it is acquired by defection, gives them extra legitimacy, and a greater claim to media coverage. and maybe even gives them a case for entry into any televised election debates that happen prior to the 2015 election. If Cameron can prevent MPs defecting to them, it's probably in his interest to do so.

See interactive charts. bit.ly/18tYhXY Pours cold water on the idea that she will do well in right-wing Mid Beds on a UKIP label (indeed she will probably do badly as a con candidate) Lucky for her that our UKIP issues mean that isnt given the chucking out she deserves

he never struck me as that right wing and continually urged the Tories to stay in the centre right. Now whether you have inside info I do not know but I would be shocked if he did.

I'd be astonished if Cashcroft joined UKIP. However, I guess he must be getting very frustrated - he keeps commissioning very expensive polling which clearly shows the Tories what they need to do to get their majority, and then they do the exact opposite every time! Yes, to an extent that looks to be correct. It has occurred to me that a group of public school 6th formers may have had an elaborate composite bet to see who could get into any major corporation or institution in Britain and rapidly bring it to its knees whilst appearing to be trying to run it well!! (B of E, Big Banks, BT, Conservative Party, BP, Pension Funds, Insurance Companies and LibDems)? No, surely not?

If we are talking about giving an impression of public school 6th formers Old Nige must be up there. He isn't unlike many from my old schools debating society.

Your position is actually rather close to GreenChristian's rather amusingly. I don't see much that he's said that I would disagree with and, of course, we are in the same party... Cromwell - BNP to Green?

You can hopefully forgive my confusion Cromwell. You could always ask Kristofer to put your true party allegiance on display underneath your username.
