No! He did not! He repudiated his past, changed colours, formed a subversive party within the party, altered him name and started to recruit a mass Movement. At least he stood in the first place. Brian of Nazareth was part of an organisation that didn't believe in such bourgeois distractions as elections. Well! He was a very naughty proto-candidate.

I am shocked that local government website staff are not kept on standby over the festive period for such an event.

Dan Jeffery, former councillor for Sholing ward in Southampton (was cabinet member for education until he lost his seat in May), has left the Labour Party: He's reconsidered. EDIT: The condensed version of what triggered the above tweet is that the new Press & PR Officer was using the official Twitter account to promote Momentum polls, Dan called her out on it, and she blocked him on the official account.

I have had various 'discussions' with him on social media. He is exceptionally unpleasant in that context and I hope he reconsiders and resigns his party membership.

We must agree to disagree on this Mike. Well....I can only assume he is less unpleasant in person and with those whose political views he shares. He is one of the very few people I have blocked from social media. I rarely agree with him on anything and he sums up why I don't think the Labour party can remain intact

He lay the foundations which enabled me to win my Council seat in 2012 - which probably predisposes me to like him.
