Yes it is, it's one big orchestrated double bluff by Labour. Clearly an email has been sent out in the last 24 hours because we've gone - as Andrea of this forum has noticed - from no tweets at all to a day filled with "O NOE, PANIC"

If it was a big orchestrated double bluff, I doubt Ferguson would have updated within a couple of hours to admit that he'd been sold a pup and there was probably nothing to worry about.

It's just a minor panic, with no greater significance but that it's one of the dwindling number of occasions when Lib Dem activists can scrape together a justification to feel smug.

I somehow doubt the declaration will be another one of those occasions.

It's times like this that make me wish for the glory days of the Loonies when they did so well at taking the protest vote serious parties like UKIP, the Greens and BNP would opt out of contests rather than risk polling lower.

Bradford By Elections report. The constituency has six wards, two are villages wih mainly white population and four wards withheld high Muslim Pakistani Vote. Labour has dominated these four wards for decades with their machinery getting all the heads of the families of large extended families to bring in the family vote for Labour. So fathers have been telling wife's daughters and sons to vote for Labour. This has been diminishing but still largely intact until two weeks ago. Labour had real battle in candidate selection for this safe seat and once that was over it was supposed to be plain sailing.

But arrival George Gallaway surprised them and changed everything. George presented him self as the Messiah for the young Muslims confirm in them that Labour and all other Parties have been bashing the Muslims in UK and everywhere else. George is their only spokesman and has a track record to show for it. Every youngster has been on Twitter, facebook and emails telling everyone to vote George. Every youngster has been telling their parents to vote for George.

Labour can't cope withwith this form of campaigning and has been losing the heads of families to their youn sons and daughters.

Opinions on what that might mean?

because the one indication from the selection that it was far from a real battle and the favourite won easy ...

I always said that the only think that could cause me to vote Galloway was to stop the BNP. I would hope that this is hype and he comes nowhere close.
