to be contested very quickly on the 29th March, a new trend for labour to do this.
why not wait until May, prob because the LE campaign will start the same week so a nice labour victory will boost morale.

I don't think Galloway seems to mind a bit of humiliation if there's publicity in it. You remember Big Brother?

It seems, based on Len Tingle's tweets, that the only addition to Kristofer Keane's list is Neil Craig of the Democratic Nationalists, but I don't have an SOPN to link to.

True, Simon didn't list Galloway, but if he had really failed to make nomination, surely that fact would have been spotted by others?

There's a Respect candidate, not a Loony. What no Loony?! Alan Hope said a few days ago he was ready to stand. I'll have to check from the proper SoPN if I can find it.

I'm sure I'm not the only one to look with a degree of incredulity on the information that George Galloway's home address is "in the Bradford West constituency". A home address is a home address, not a temporary home rented immediately before an election. Galloway would have had to have a home address in Scotland in order to stand for Glasgow in the Scottish Parliament election last year. What is slightly odd is that George Galloway is a company director of a limited company and under the rules for company directors, has to register as such and give his home address. He has registered and his home address is given as Streatham: company-director-check.co.uk/director/916726511There is no suggestion that any offence has been committed contrary to section 65A (1)(a) of the Representation of the People Act 1983.

Hooray! (At last!) Where did you find it? I have been looking all over Bradford Council's website trying to find it. Where was it hidden? The URL says "NR" but it doesn't seem to be in the list of "news" or "news releases". It should of course have been on the front page of the website immediately at 4:10pm yesterday.

Bradford tweeted the link a few hours ago, after being asked for it yesterday afternoon... As well as Galloway's address, I love his use of the description "Respect (George Galloway)" for the extra ego points.
