I think that's the wrong logo - didn't the Continuing SDP use a modified version with a tick? (An image doesn't appear easy to locate online.) This is it - well, this is one of the three they've got registered :

This is it - well, this is one of the three they've got registered : Ah but the registered group are the Continuing Continuing SDP - they're a minority who rejected the 1990 disbandment and carried on (well fair play since the 1988 party was equally a minority carrying on). But I think that's the main logo that explicitly identifies the post 1988 SDP - "tick" was often used by SaLaDs as a means to refer to them. I guess that makes the current lot double tickers.

Labour List
22.02: I asked yesterday if Labour could lose Bradford West (although I said that such a result was unlikely). The reaction from the ground has been mixed so far, but still seems positive for Labour. However I’m hearing recently that postal votes were “50/50″. If that’s true, the whole result will come down to turnout on the day…

Nope don;t think so cog
another from LL
22.33: Sky News’s Jon Craig predicts the following “Labour win, George Galloway 2nd, Tories pushed into 3rd place after fuel blunders.” Not sure if that’s based on info from the ground, but it tallies with what I’ve heard.

Has there been an actual exit poll, or are media pundits just saying whatever they like?

It's sounding as Galloway may have won. That's depressing.
Guardian's Pidd saying he got 75% in some ballot paper bundles

Individual bundles can be very unrepresentative. Even an individual box could be 75% when the actual vote was 30%. I am not wishfully denying he could be doing well but that guardian piece is of little substance per se.

SKY's Jon Craig saying Labour MPs are briefing Galloway has won.
It's all over. Goergeous George is back. I need some chocolate now...

Oh dear, it looks like the voters of Bradford West have chosen Galloway.

Look, I'll be honest, I'm not Galloway's greatest fan, and I'm not about to subscribe to his newsletter.
But he speaks far more truth from a left-ist perspective than most in the Labour Party ever will, and on the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, he's been proven right. I like someone who is provocative and interesting. Better him than the photocopied robots we see from all parties in the Commons at the moment.
I don't agree with everything he says. I do think it's good to have him back in the Commons.

You stupid **** Galloway is pure evil. Agree. You should think of it roughly like I would think of the prospect of the Lib Dems losing a seat to the BNP.
