O Sullivan 327 votes ahead of Riada, recount unlikely to change that.

well, the good thing is that at this rate they won't have to worry about the frozen seat because they will time the declaration with Brexit

There is nothing minor about the problem in Scotland I can assure you. Here we have full-time teams cutting de-rooting and burning. Always take a stick on a walk to knock them down on sight when young. As persistent as bracken but more serious and more of a problem.

Take into account, Red C tend to overestimate SF's support and underestimate Fianna Fail's..

To put that into context, Leo Varadkar said this week that he will probably call an election in 2020. Could go on to 2021 but the weak Parliamentary status of Fine Gael and its supply and confidence deal with Fianna Fáil make that questionable.

I was actually polled for this one - first call I've received on my landline in ages that wasn't either a wrong number or someone in a Bombay call centre trying to help fix my (non-existent) fixed-line broadband.
RedC don't prompt for any parties unless you specifically ask them to, which I did. The order supplied to me was:
FF FG SF Green Labour Independent Independent Alliance (distinguished even though I doubt most voters are clear who is who) Social Democrats Workers' Party Renua "Solidarity".
"People Before Profit", which is the better-known and (relatively) more successful of the two Trot fronts wasn't mentioned and nor was Aontú (both of these have TDs while the Sticks and Renua no longer have, so I found the omission curious).

Take into account, Red C tend to overestimate SF's support and underestimate Fianna Fail's.. They've actually been one of the more conservative pollsters wrt SF but they habitually underestimate FF and overstate FG - their final poll at the last election showed a gap of 10 where in reality it was just over 1%.
FF will be over the moon with high 20s in RedC, I imagine, and should expect to hurt FG beyond Greater Dublin where FG is seen as a metropolitan clique too concerned with likes on social media and not enough with more prosaic matters.

All polling companies in the Republic, tend to overestimate SF's support. Red C had SF at around 15% in the lead up to the locals, Fianna Fail 20%.. The actual result was FF 27%, SF 9.5%.
