I've just been sent the result: Con 558 Green 508 Lab 354 So for us it was a much improved vote from last time the ward voted, but just short of winning.

With all the results for the 15 single seat by-elections and 41 "double" elections now available, the outcome of the individual contests is shown below indicating where a seat changed hands; using a convention that in a "double" election the highest placed candidate won the annual election and the second placed the by-election.

Torridge, Bideford East: C gain from UKIP C 383 Lab 273 LD 236 Gubb 231 Grn 62 Davies 56 I think, unless I've missed a change somewhere, that this gain gives the Tories majority control over Torridge.

There were 15 single and 41"double" elections on 3 May with 9 (16%) changing hands based on a convention that for double" elections the highest placed candidate won the annual election with the second placed winning the by-election. The results can be summarised by:
