Early elections are now off after Kadima agreed to join the governing coalition. Kadima's recently-elected leader, Shaul Mofaz, is set to be named deputy PM.

I'm not a major follower of Israeli politics as I suspect that it is largely too depressing for words. This development seems hugely depressing as it looks like the prospects of a settlement for the Palestine question rather than Settlements in Palestine is off the table.

Kadima might as well just fold already.

Likud and YB are going to run a joint list which is certainly an interesting decision. It might work out for them, but it's possible that they'd have been better off running separately.

The military leader of Hamas has been killed by the Israeli military. Will this be a boost for Bibi?

Are there any Israeli parties in favour of dismantling the settlements in the occupied territories?

Are there any Israeli parties in favour of dismantling the settlements in the occupied territories? I would imagine the Arab parties are all for it.

Are there any Israeli parties in favour of dismantling the settlements in the occupied territories? I'm pretty sure Meretz supports that.

Former Foreign Minister and Kadima leader Tzipi Livni is to make a return to politics after losing the Kadima leadership and leaving the Knesset earlier this year. She's forming a new party called "the Movement" which I have a vague memory is a name used before.
Despite winning the most votes last time, Kadima is facing total wipeout. How many other parties have suffered that fate?
