Thanks for the congrats! I really didn't think I could catch David who had such a brilliant start to the month, but the sheer number of elections and the awkward batch this week made unlikely things possible. I both hope and believe that there will be first-time monthly winners very soon. I just hope folk stick at it - it's a very useful and enjoyable learning process.
Yes indeed, the most difficult months are those with a huge number of elections, and us relative newbies ( next week I will start the second year of competition so maybe no longer to be regarded as newby) struggle to make a few good results tell over the long term , and that tends to favour those who have years of experience at doing this , or as you would say the old *arts. I enjoy the competition for its competitive edge but as you say primarily as an excuse to do the learning process.
