They said that then said 750 so not sure if 75- or 749 - good result for Chris in not very fertile terrain. Well done and particularly good to beat the Greens in an area where they are well organised

Well done to Chris Cassidy for coming so close to 3rd place despite the UKIP concentration being in Corby. In other circumstances you'd've challenged for 2nd place. Despite the inevitable knockers you should be very proud of that performance. Bodes well for Corby.

Was that a Tory lost deposit?
Sorry - just noticed it was 4.5%.

I have just phoned Alan Hope and he confirms that UKIP got 749 (not 750 as the BBC man stupidly said)

Thanks for all the good wishes. I'm a bit gutted about the 5 votes, and coming so close to saving our deposit, but to beat the BNP & Greens in our worst constituency is a great result for me personally. I'd be interested in finding out the percentage increase/decrease, as I reckon UKIP and Labour might be the only party increasing their vote?

^ 10 lost deposits and the same boring labour postal vote (immigrant) rigging. Now I am not a great fan of postal voting due to the ability to steal votes, but do you have any proof of this criminal allegation, or are you just being racist?

Yes it is given the kind of territory it is, demographically probably one of the lowest potential seats for UKIP in the North West
