In that picture how can you tell they are LD's ? They're brandishing what is clearly election material but which doesn't say which party it's from. That means they must be Lib Dems. Trying to make out that it is a real newspaper! Dirty tricks indeed.

I regard tabloids as dirty electioneering if not quite in the way the rest of you mean. The newsprint does tend to leave you filthy particularly when hot and sweaty in summer!

Newspapers are effective tools but I hate delivering them to those properties where it was deemed acceptable to have a door with a vertical letterbox.

Former Lord Mayor of Norwich Tom Dylan is the Green Party candidate here, and with him comes the useless fact that there is now a ballot paper longer than the 2010 election.

I'm now an officially nominated candidate.
Also, many of the candidates that are aiming to stand in the election are in the Manchester Evening News today (Only the printed version). All candidates were asked about what they thought the biggest problem in Manchester is and how they would fix it in 150 words.
I've got no camera so can't put the article up, but perhaps someone else can?

I see that Wespec' have selected another candidate. www.respectparty.org/2012/10/speak-up-for-manchester.htmlI understand her Facebook pages shows that she's well up to standard for that motley crew - including liking Bashar al-Assad, Press TV, 9/11 troofers, birthers and various other nutters and oddbods.

I've not got anything on my FB profile that could cause any problems, but with the types of people out there looking for anything they can get their hands on, only friends can see my profile. I've made a point of acting nothing short of saintly on the internet (And off it!) I wish a certain few members in UKIP yoof would do the same.

As a wise man would say "Lo, didst not thine writer of proposals to divide up the electoral wards between cities, and the cities from their neighbours, be himself elected unto the Council of the Town of Twenty Year Guild? And didst thine not bring shame upon your Party by presenting a status to the masses which spake ill of thine actions, and brought a shadow of embarrassment to your colleagues? And so it came to pass, that the writer of proposals to divide up the electoral wards between cities, and cities from their neighbours, did learn the hard way to lock down his social media profile, much too late to avoid the horse from bolting at great pace from the stable in which it was housed." R. Marbrow, Book of the Bleeding Obvious Common Sense, Church Street, Stockport.
