Regarding Susan Hall's appeal (or lack of) I suspect her appeal will be strongest in already Conservative voting parts of Outer London- Havering, Bexley, Hillingdon, Harrow and parts of Bromley. Not at all comvinced she'll go down well in the affluent West London intelligentsia areas which still have a reasonable amount of Conservative voters such as Kensington, Richmond, Wimbledon and Hampstead. Yes, I think she wins Bexley, Bromley, Croydon, Harrow, Havering, Hillingdon, RBKC and Sutton. I don't think she'll win Barking & Dagenham tbh. Looking at the 2022 locals, she has a shot at carrying Barnet, Enfield, Wandsworth and Westminster. I think Khan will win Wandsworth though. I think Hounslow may be the London bellwether, and Khan almost certainly wins there, despite some underwhelming Labour holds last year. Kingston and Richmond are weird, since they voted for Ken Livingstone back in the day and Khan did well across both in the 2021 election. I'd say Hall has a chance of winning Enfield and Barnet. I think Khan will win both Westminster and Wandsworth. I expect the Inner/Outer London divide to be especially stark at this election

Susan Hall could do okay in blue-collar Feltham & Heston. The Tories gained ground there in 2022. Over-performing in F&H may save the South West GLA seat.
2022 South West London vote totals: Liberal Democrat 178,957; Conservative 136,889; Labour 131,860; Green 31,851.

Reform UK candidate is Anthony Goodwin (also parliamentary spokesman for Hammersmith & Chiswick; stood for Ealing & Hillingdon 2021).

Liberal Democrat candidate is Gareth Roberts, who is also fourth on the LD Londonwide list, and was also the candidate in 2021. He is leader of Richmond upon Thames, elected for "Ham, Petersham & Richmond Riverside" in 2022, and Hampton from 2014-2022.

Labour's candidate is Marcela Benedetti, a very rare Argentinian in British politics and a former candidate for Norbiton in the last local elections. She is very lively and personable (I know her quite well). She was selected quite some time ago but for some reason neither I nor others posted it on here.

How can an Argentinian be a candidate? They must have some other nationality as well — Italian perhaps?

How can an Argentinian be a candidate? They must have some other nationality as well — Italian perhaps? Almost certainly. The only Argentinian I know has Italian citizenship (she did leave Argentina aged eight).
There was considerable emigration to Argentina(and indeed the UK) by Italians in the nineteenth century, and then back again at various points. I would suspect that she has taken UK citizenship now

She was running for the Labour selection in Wimbledon (after being the 'author' of a letter delivered in Merton in 2022 telling everyone how terrible it was to live in Kingston) - but pulled out for some reason.

How did you find that? Hounslow does not have an easy to navigate website.

And Conservatives in 3rd! Not surprising given how bad their candidate was.
