Some news from the Central ward (Watford) campaign. A local charity is angry after one of their shop managers was featured in a Lib Dem leaflet. The problem is that the manager was photographed in the shop with her job title featured. www.watfordobserver.co.uk/news/10021917.Charity_anger_after_featuring_in_political_leaflet/Local Lib Dem Mayor, Dorothy Thornhill, says the charity is "over-reacting" - so that's all right then. However, an apology will feature in the next Lib Dem leaflet.

Would it be fair to say that Greenacre is in fact a 3 member ward? (perhaps Larkfield is 2 member)

Your predictions are very interesting.
Are you going to predict the 41 police contests? Or maybe you have already done so, on another thread.

Central Bedfordshire (Silsoe) - This is one of the most interesting elections. Firstly it is in Nadine's constituency which may well have an impact. Normally I would agree with Mark as a LD gain, but the fly in the ointment is the Independent Alison Graham, who was a LD councillor who lost her seat in 2011. So with the LD vote split, I'm going for a Conservative hold, possibly on a very low percentage of the vote.
Conwy - One of the independents (Edwards) is a former councillor for Caerhun ward who lost his seat in May. The other Independent (Bullock) came bottom of the poll in Craig y Don ward in May. So I agree with a Con gain.
Dumfries/Galloway - Con gain Eden - LD gain Havant - LD hold Merthyr - Lab gain Newcastle - LD gain N Tyneside - LD gain Ryedale - Con hold St Edmundsbury - Con hold

The recent result in nearby Stotfold didn't bode very well for a LD gain in Silsoe but I must admit than in the absence of a predcition competition I haven't researched any of these. I'm surprised if these LD gains in Newcastle and North Tyneside seem likely. I still think Watford Central is a possible Labour gain, but I wouldn't put money on it

Newcastle was won by the LibDems quite comfortably in May . North Tyneside was won by Labour this May by just 6 votes . I agree with Great King Rat that the Independent could win Silsoe , I have no local knowledge as to how much help Alison Graham is getting . Central Watford we have discussed before , Labour's candidate for the past 3 elections has had to give up the fight and they have been going backwards in 2011 and in May .

North Tyneside was won by Labour this May by just 6 votes . I don't know if it had an impact on May result but the LD candidate defeated by 6 votes was the Cllr for more than 40 years (I think 43). So he may have had quite a personal vote that helped to keep LD vote up while turnout (and Labour vote) decreased.
