ITV reporting that the Tories are confident of gaining Copeland. Any source for that? Can't seem to find it on their website

Guardian quoting blog from Corbyn (on both elections) saying "Whatever the result..." Expectations management genius. Reading what he has to say, he clearly has little to offer bar pointing at the Tories, and the bulk of his own party, and criticising. Bringing back Stoke's industries? Is he going to deskill pottery, force everyone to buy a dinner service and re-open some exhausted mines?

It's such a dispiriting, hopeless, embarrassing thing to watch when Corbyn does just about anything (and I say that as someone who has no time for him and no particular care about the health or otherwise of the Labour Party). Utterly cringeworthy. He's not as bad as most people think, he's much, much worse.

Dan Hodges saying that Labour sources in Copeland suggest early samples show a Labour win.....Always weird to see early sampling. What wards, etc..

Careful with any early rumours from a rural seat. You scooped the Guardian Live Blog on this by about 15 minutes.

Now I wonder what that figure would've been without the recent inclement weather...?

My usual question at this stage: what is the verified turnout total? Number, not percentage

Keswick and Millom boxes apparently showing a big Tory vote Labour didn't run a candidate in Million Without ward in 2015, and the Tories took 2/3 of the vote then. Is it higher now?
