The two people I know on this picture are not local to the constituency. Not that such things matter. The Tories go in for pics like this nowadays. One I recognise is City of London

What purpose do the pictures serve other than demoralising the other side? Release to press where they come from as well as by-election area Party HQ records Wall of Conservative Club minor passageway Sell to those participating Use in house magazine For Internal Party morale Don't forget "encouraging anti nuclear Momentum folks to come to the constituency and clarify Corbyn's policy to Sellafield workers! After all, their sacrifice will be for the greater good, and once they understand that it will all be ok!

Momentum is far too busy tearing itself apart in factional dispute after factional dispute to bother with something as irrelevant as a by-election.

Two Newcastle upon Tyne Labour people (Stephen Lambert and Margaret Murning) have both put themselves forward for Copeland. You'd think they'd decide between themselves who goes for it given they are husband and wife. www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/newcastle-couple-launch-separate-bids-12420996Margaret Murning is a former Sandyford councillor who lost to us in 2004 in the new boundaries (although she would have lost anyway under the old ones). Stephen Lambert was a Blakelaw councillor winning from us in 1995 before winning in Kenton in 1999 where he still is a councillor. He would have lost in Blakelaw and our leaflet had "Doing the Lambert walk" as a headline when he decided to stand in Kenton. We also had "Silence of the Lambert" at some point when he was in Blakelaw.

Yes, lots of Momentum people going to help Jim McMahon in Oldham really hurt his campaign...... Last time I looked Oldham did not depend on a nuclear reprocessing plant as its main employer! It will be fine so long as the you guys only give them leaflets to deliver.. Regarding planets, I am only going by what one or two Momentum people have said in response to the Tory activist boasting (mind you, maybe it was spoof Momentum, it is often hard to tell!)

Jesus of Nazareth was not in fact available as a candidate. I have an hard time to believe than the PLP has no one sane, likeable and not close to Blair (which is a a condition to be able to win). You appear to believe that a candidate who ran as an honest to god Bevanite is close to Tony Blair. If this is the case, then you would appear to be sufficiently delusional that I can't really understand why you would want Corbyn to be replaced.

No, I didn't mean than Smith was close to Blair, I mean someone close to Blair can't win.
