Multiple indicators of an LD gain now.

Any estimate of declaration time? The initial suggestion was 2:30. Dilemma... Stay up for the results? Or... Get some sleep? Hmm....

I wonder how many times tonight Alistair Carmichael is going to describe the Richmond Park electorate as "sophisticated". And 'sophisticated' is of course a very considerable slur upon them. However I am sure he is likely to be quite right about them.

Don't know if it matters but if the Lib Dems win, then they will be clearly the fourth party in Parliament instead of tying with the DUP.

Dilemma... Stay up for the results? Or... Get some sleep? Hmm.... What kind of dilemma is that? Well, I've already had to suffer through two early nights/rises this week with no more expected, so I suppose I could treat myself...

Diane Abbott will be forcing more pro-Remain Labour Party members to quit after her performance on the by-election show tonight.

Well I am a "proper Lord" - of sorts anyway - and I am staying up to see if it is true. I am supposed to be on the Politics Show tomorrow but might get bumped off for Ms Olney I suppose...

If Zac loses, it's his own fault for doing a silly ego-trip. His pledge of a by-election made sense before 2015, but in that his position is clear, he already had an unambiguous anti-Heathrow mandate in 2015 at the time of the general election. It does not make sense for him to say that in May 2015 he stood on a mandate of getting a mandate. Other than to boost his own ego.
