So it is true then. The electorate does not like to be bothered with unnecessary elections.

Well I am a "proper Lord" - of sorts anyway - and I am staying up to see if it is true. I am supposed to be on the Politics Show tomorrow but might get bumped off for Ms Olney I suppose... Even ArmchairCritic at his most angry wouldn't accuse the BBC of political assasination!

1.30 has been mentioned for a declaration, we shall see....... I guess that means declaration will be around 2am? It's "imminent". Which, in by-election terms, means it will be within the next three hours.

No it isn't. It is perfectly true. One of the few constituencies in the country where you can say that pretty en masse unironically. Ah! But do you know what sophisticated means? I agree that it does apply to them. It mean sophisticated not 'sophisticated'.

I think the Tories would still have a good chance of winning back Richmond in a General Election.

I think the Tories would still have a good chance of winning back Richmond in a General Election. The Lib Dems have lost it before they've even gained it.

I still want Zac to win, despite him being a pathetic egotistical twerp. Another MP for the Lib Dems would give an extra boost to the even more pathetic twerp, Tim Fallon.

I wonder if Zac Goldsmith will actually poll fewer votes tonight in Richmond Park than he did for Mayor of London in May.
EDIT: Practically certain that he will - he got 20,391 just on polling station votes in the wards which make up Richmond Park.

Yes, that makes perfect sense doesn't it Shirley you stupid cow. The results of a nationwide referendum should clearly be overridden on the basis of a by election in a single constituency.
