With all due respect, the writing looks like it belongs on a prescription for cough medicine. My writing is pretty retarded yes. But then, medically I am that? Why handwrite them then? It isn’t all that difficult or costly to find a nice template and produce some much more professional looking stuff.

When did the imprint requirement change to make it necessary to include hand-written material? I must be very out of date.

I realise I've never actually done the 'introduce myself' note so here goes, even though I've been a member and occasional poster for a long time. I've come to do it because some of the forum know my real world identity - Lewis Baston - and some probably don't. I'll keep calling myself mrtoad though, as I like toads. The toad is my spirit animal.
I've been a Labour member since 1986 so it would be dishonest to pretend I'm not part of the red team here as that is what I am in my attitudes and voting behaviour. But I also try to be objective in what I write here and in articles and books about elections, polling and constitutional matters. I studied under David Butler and oversaw the first archiving and cataloguing of his papers, and I'm very 'Butlerite' in how I look at elections. David once said that I had 'an interest and an eye for the curious, the marginal and the bizarre' and it's part of my psychology and working method to look at the edge cases in search of lessons about the generality of things. I've just written a book, Borderlines, which is essentialy a modern history of Europe (east and west) told through the story of its borders and border regions.
Life in this forum can be infuriating, but there's nowhere like it on a good day - there are a lot of people here who are wise in psephology and also have an eye for the curious, the marginal and the bizarre. It's also good that people of different partisan and ideological hues can come together, chat, share knowledge about stuff and for the most part get along fine (perhaps I stay out of the threads where this doesn't apply, but I like my rose-tinted spectacles). So thanks all, for being here.

We know what a toad thinks, because it is in his articles
