For anyone interested, I've been absent from the forum for almost a week because a minor inconvenience (commonly known as a heart attack) which distracted my attention away from said forum. However, I'm recuperating steadily and have been allowed out of hospital today. Strict diet, change of lifestyle/health regime etc to be severely enforced by my better half, and good job too! Hope you recover well I’ll take the diet tips as well

Hello - new to being a member of the forum but have been using the site for some time.
I used to keep my own monthly polling averages and do the occasional analysis of election data. All part of the fun and most importantly to support my political betting efforts! Every US/U.K. election since 2016 has been profitable to me - here’s to another!

Plenty of value around this time I'd have thought.

Hopefully you are on the mend , a good friend of mine had a heart attack six months ago , he is fine physically but mentally it has really hit him. I sent him to an acupuncturist i use , to help him sleep and be becalmed. I do understand acupuncture isn’t for everyone, it really works for me , i have a monthly maintenance session and i had an extra visit this week to help me cope with flying Saturday . Any way i wish you well . Hope the new health regime isn’t too harsh .

My health regime is more exercise (but very small incremental increases , starting from short walks onwards) and a total revamp of my diet. No more processed foods, saturated fats etc. Lots of stews with vegetables & lentils, chick peas etc., with just the occasional treat once or twice a week. I intend to stick around on this planet for a good while longer yet

I changed my diet ( i have been swimming 3 times a week for two years ) listening to a Michael Mosley Sound podcast in Corfu last September ( i really hope they find him , it’s really not looking good ) . It’s not easy cooking meals rather than heating up processed dinners but it is undoubtedly worth it . Sunday afternoon has become a cooking date- get ahead of the game

Hi there. I'm Big Lin and a perennial floating voter. Got my nickname because I'm 5ft 11 but as my hubby is 6ft4 I still have to look up to him!

Welcome.
Some of us on here are worth may be worth looking up to, you'll soon work out who, but most of us definitely not, we're just the board rabble.

I like women but am regarded as the Forum naughty step misogynist. I'm not. Please tell us a bit about your views, reactions to this GE, your constituency and anything else you are prepared to divulge. That is quite a height. Might I be indelicate enough to enquire as to your UK shoe size?

Might I be indelicate enough to enquire as to your UK shoe size? My views don't fit easily into any left/right tick box approach. I'd broadly call myself a centrist but on some issues I could be thought of as right wing and on others left wing. I am disappointed that the crazy election system allows a party that two thirds of the electors voted against to have a massive majority. In some areas I think labour will be better and in others worse. My constituency is Wakefield and Rothwell. As for my height, my Dad is 6ft 2 and my Mum is 5ft9. My brother is 6ft3 but strangely my sister is 5ft4! I'm a size 9 in shoes!
