Yeah, I have to make cutbacks too. About £18 return fare to my nearest Wetherspoon tomorrow so I can grab a big breakfast and some real ale...

I find it does vary from Spoon to Spoon, presumably just depending on the skill and standards of the chef. The Brandon Works in Motherwell was one of the worst for a while, then they suddenly became one of the better ones.

A mate of mine was a food inspector for Wyre Borough Council, the story's he told......

I just realised I never introduced myself I'm Andrew; some will know me from another place. Formally I guess I was a Tory local council candidate in 2007 but that's as political as it got. I like making maps, particularly those focused on Scotland. I use MS Paint as 'Paint is for the people!' or something. I'm currently trying to use old local election results to produce notional October 1974 election results for the 1983-1997 seats because why the f--k not. And that's all really. I'm gay and my husband wants a dog. The End.

Hi all. I'm Steven, I was born in Hartlepool, have lived in Newcastle (briefly) and Redhill, went to university in Bath but now live in sunny South London with my lovely girlfriend and cat. I work for an online food delivery company. I'm interested in elections, music and football. I'm a fan of Crystal Palace but follow Hartlepool, Hamburg and Ross County. I play bass guitar and have played in a few bands. I'm now over 30. I have a huge pile of books waiting to be read.
Politically I sit somewhere on the centre-left, but find myself becoming more right wing on certain issues as I get older. I was a member of the Liberal Democrats at the age of 15, but after a few years my membership lapsed and I never felt like renewing. I once stood in a local election for the Green Party, this was mostly so I could attend the election count and to help a good friend of mine out, it was also pretty cool voting for myself. I have no plans to join a political party right now.
Interesting fact, My father was a Conservative councillor for a brief time (one term I believe) many years ago. For the past 20 years he has tended to vote Liberal Democrat as he is rather Pro European Union. He is a big supporter of the coalition government.
I shall be posting here from time to time, but I doubt I will be giving any fascinating insights on the issues of the day. I have checked out this forum many times and have always found it an enjoyable read which is informative on election issues.

Hi all. .............live in sunny South London with my lovely girlfriend and cat. Stephen, is your girlfriend a cat, or is your girlfriend lovely, but your cat less so, or are both lovely? You failed to make yourself clear. Boogieeck, I can confirm that my girlfriend is not a cat. My cat is probably less lovely than my girlfriend, this is mostly down to the fact that my cat isn't quite house trained and likes to leave me 'little gifts' on the rug.

Good choice for number 5. You are a child of the digital age so it is probably more integral to you than old fogies like many of us here (anyone over about 22). 3 and 4 are perfectly logical answers for UKIP. 2 probably splits the party in the same way it splits everyone else's party. 1 as you may be aware UKIP has a non libertarian line on but you are jnot the first to support it despite that.
So logically you are within parameters but as an outsider I think probably in the border zone with the Conservatives. I think many of them could give the same answers particularly younger ones for 1 and 5.

Not sure if I count as a 'younger one', but I'd answer:
1. Yes, if the state must get involved in marriage at all. 2. Yes, if you own the land. If you don't, buy it. 3. No 4. No 5. No

Hi, Originally from Glasgow but now living and working in the NorthEast Joined Labour in the 90s and have only ever voted Labour or SSP, Looking forward to beating the SNP next year in the referendum not sure I fancy working with the tories and the Liberal Democrats however. Have been reading the forum for a while and figure I should probably take the plunge and sign up.

Oh, I don't know... just as Drew Blackie signs up to provide some much needed balance to this left-leaning forum (see the political spectrum thread for more), along comes yet another Labour leftie. No, seriously, welcome redweeg.

Edited:On 2 my answer no was to the idea of government building housing in the countryside, if you own the land yourself you can do whatever you want it's your money and your land. That sounds like you're against the idea of planning permission.
