Your leadership woes seems to hurt your results, nothing good for you this week so far. You lost almost 80% of your vote in Beverley, you lost a seat in Strood and Labour beated you in 2nd, a sub 10 result in Neath. |

When I typed that, no, but we knew Lab beated UKIP for 3nd. We have complete results now, 41 more votes for Labour over UKIP. |

Even most of the people who signed their nomination papers didn't bother turning out for them. Just fruitcakes and loons I expect. |

This is however the fourth sub-10 vote result in a south Welsh by-election this year: - The Pirate Party polled 4 votes in Rhoose (Vale of Glamorgan) in June. - The Conservatives had 7 votes in Moriah (Caerphilly) in March. - The Greens also had 7 votes in Gilfach (Caerphilly) two weeks ago. EDIT: I've gone through the list of Welsh local by-elections this decade and can only find two other single digit results in that period: one of 9 votes for the Tories (Torfaen, Snatchwood) and one of 7 votes for the Lib Dems (Newport, Bettws). |
