Another tell is that narrow strip in southern Moravia, along the Austrian border, which was never particularly industrial but was German back in the old days. Yes. Although then SW-Bohemia could be mentioned as another exception (apart from the mentioned NE). |

Elections for the regions and 1/3 of the Senate took place toDay.
As expected, ANO is regionally as single party far ahead (~36%), but due to regional&local alliances it is hard to estimate, how much the governing parties will in sum get.
The Pirates are usually below the 5%-thresHold (of the regions).
The SocDems (exCSSD) have turned into an ANO-ally, by the way.

Sum of the 13 regional parliaments:  It turns out, that the proWestern government (Spolu+STAN&allies+Pirates+SZ=Greens) ended 10% behind the less proWestern bloc (ANO+SPD+KSCM=Stacilo!+CSSD=SocDem+Prisaha). N.B.: Prague did not vote, what increased the distance, of course. |

With 1/2 counted and 1/6 participation it appears to be not the sweep by ANO+. Presently they are at just 15/81 (+8).
