Their party is presently (51% counted) minimally ahead of ODS in Prague!
ANO, TOP'09 and a local list behind (all 5 at 15-17%; SPD, CSSD and KSCM will be out of parliament).

ANO is sometimes far in front (sometimes not) of an awfully high number of small parties.

Zeman's socialistic SPOR has (in Olmütz/Olmouc aso.) joint candidatures with the nationalsocialistic SPD...

ANO is still far ahead in OpinionPolls (~30%).

10/13 CSSD-senators are up, but the party has recovered recently a little bit (like the communists, both around 10%).

In the regions ANO will likely get the first place in all of them:

...but here and there ODS&others might achieve antiANOcoalitions.

By the way: I intend to read a book on the parties in InterWar CSR (relying on a westgerman symposion held in 1977, so as old as i am, but there don't exist younger nonCzech books as far as i know) - are there any interests for certain parties, special aspects?

TurnOut was seemingly lower in the N&NW (not unusual). In the S&SE partly above 40%, in Prague - where only 2 senators were elected - it was at ~1/3.

The participation is according to the HomeOffice 29-32%.

12% (regions) sive 10% (Senate) is counted.
As expected ANO tops most regions - but not all (presently) and it could be difficult for them to get majorities in many regions.
In the Senate-races they have also underperformed expectactions: Only in 4 ahead (like STAN), CSSD in 3, antiANOcoalitions (STAN+ODS+Pirates+...) in several others.

In the regions ANO is presently stable at SeatDistribution (+9: from 176 to 185) while its CoalitionPartners - Socialists and Communists - would have lost the vast majority of regional MPs (CSSD -83: from 125 to 42, KSCM -62: from 86 to 24). Other lo(o)sers: KDU-SL (-11: from 61 to 50), Top09 (-4: from 19 to 15). Greens remaining at 5 seats. Main winners: Pirates (+92: from 5 to 97), SPD (+25: from 48 to 63), STAN (=Mayors&Indys +25: from 38 to 63), ODS (+14: from 76 to 90).

Thanks for the information anyway. I've been to the Czech Senate building, but not inside the chamber itself. The whole institution seems ill-conceived. You'd think they'd have seen low turnouts like this coming when it was established. I wonder how long it would take to count all the votes if turnout were actually healthy?

"hell" means "light" - are you not a fan of German beer?
I feel depressed now - my local to work is the "Bavarian Brauhaus" on Bothwell Street, Glasgow and I haven't been there since March.
