Just curious does anyone think the Cons will get a Theresa style bounce in today's elections or will it make no difference. A May Bounce is likely, but it would be more noticeable in national opinion polls rather than local council by-elections. Yes. Agreed. But earlier than May.

Not sure the two parts of this tweet fit together.
Could be just a batch recount.

Also, the PC AM for Arfon is saying than Y Felinheli looks like a landslide for PC (not than a whatever-Con duel in Gwynedd would ever end in something else than a landslide win for "whatever").

Yeah, he's a dick. But also an effective union leader by all accounts. Is he? His union is practically broke and its members are getting constantly shafted by the government. A complete waste of space and membership fees, if you ask me. Absolutely. The man has lost more staff wages in futile strike action probably than any union leader in history. There hasn't been nationwide PCS strike action that has changed anything in the DWP for example for 13 years but countless strikes. The less said about the all civil service strikes he has 'lead' the better. They have all failed to achieve the objectives they set out to do. Pathetic waste of space.

Doesn't necessarily mean there is an official result yet.

As a former member of PCS I can confirm it is not an effective union, although it has individuals who are effective. It depends on who you get as your rep. I couldn't in all conscience join with the national leadership it had for 2002-14 I was in the DWP. The lack of admin etc. support they give their elected reps, especially the local branch ones (some of whom are, as you say, excellent), is diabolical.

Doesn't necessarily mean there is an official result yet. It's official now, 51% for Labour it seems.
