It's all to do with the drains... ;D My ward must be in with a good shout for an urban one for that accolade (awaits potential contenders...). Seeing as we've got an epic thread revival, any urban contenders 12 years on for length to width ratio to beat Eastney & Craneswater in Portsmouth? Royal Docks Much more urban now than it was in 2012 too

Possibly the new Kemptown ward in Brighton The new Waterside South ward in Liverpool is also very long v width, especially when you only take into account what's not offshore (which is a baseline). Kemptown is 2 member, Waterside South is 1 member and Eastney & Craneswater is 3 member so I certainly think they're the most elongated in each of those category (with Waterside South the overall winner).

Had a quick squint at Boundary Assistant, and I reckon my Campbell Park and Old Woughton ward in Milton Keynes is up there with Eastney & Craneswater. Depends how you measure width and length as it varies throughout.

The Boundary Commission found 18 wards they liked, all the leftovers connected, and Old Woughton were adamant they didn’t want to go with the rest of Woughton. So we ended up with that. Fair to say the opposite ends of the ward don’t all know where the other is, and the middle is totally different from either end.

According to www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/election-maps/gb/it’s called Water front South
