Impressive, but I will do a mini-doktorb: - You should find another name for "Sheffield Heeley", as Heeley is in Sheffield Gleadless. "Sheffield Norton" or "Sheffield Beauchief" suggested. - I wouldn't use "Sheffield Neepsend" in spite of its history, as Neepsend is right on the edge and nobody lives there. I'd probably just call it "Sheffield Central". - "Elmsall" has no H.

Funnily enough I originally did call it Sheffield Beauchief then realised I ought to have a Heeley and thought that was it. Similar story with Neepsend/Central really. And to think I left the H out of Ecclesall just to keep you happy

Where's Middlesbrough, Redcar and Yarm? [/carping] And the Forest of Bowland, and that bit north of Richmond which was stolen by County Durham. And Saddleworth.

Well you can see where the last two are from my previous set of results. In the past when I did this I did right a number of these wrongs, however it has become increasingly difficult to do as ward boundaries no longer respect historic county boundaries in many cases - for example Saddleworth West & Lees. You will note at least that I did draw a Bowland seat for the Lancastria region which brought together the Forest of Bowland with Barnoldswick and Earby to form a kind of Yorkshire seat (along with Saddleworth) within that region.

The other is the Community Group in Doncaster (Hatfield) which I have counted separately to Independents though Morley Borough Independents and Barnsley Independents are included in that group

Thanks for the Yorkshire maps, Pete. - I wouldn't use "Sheffield Neepsend" in spite of its history, as Neepsend is right on the edge and nobody lives there. I'd probably just call it "Sheffield Central".. How about "Sheffield Upperthorpe" or "Sheffield Kelham Island"? Kelham Island is, like Neepsend, right on the edge but I think it would be nice to see the history of the area recognised in a ward and/or constituency name.

Nice work. Donny South should probably be Donny Bessacarr (or whatever) though, and Rossington should probably include Tickhill in the name for historical reasons.

I thought maybe Rossington & Tickhill or something like that - doesn't sound right a seat called Rossington being Tory held

I remember doktorb posting a link to some hilarious suggestions somebody had made for constituency boundaries - Sheffield Squalor etc. Anyway on the names, take them as you please - Sheffield central, Neepsend, Upperthorpe or whatever. I will take these suggestions (and Al's) on board, but its too much hassle to change the maps and I've been having trouble with photobucket when I upload an amended file it still remembers the old one
