Oh and what sort of quota difference do I use, 5%, 10% or just as close as possible to current wards?

Could you start your own thread? Why would I do that, I don't know how you calculate everything and make pretty maps, I'm just trying to make you some boundaries

Seriously ASV, your enthusiasm is genuinely admirable but there is no need to pester Pete (or anybody else on here, for that matter)
He has heard your requests, and will doubtless act on those he considers sensible in due course.

I have decided to place a ban on AustralianSwingVoter for one calendar week. I have already asked him more than once to show more restraint and patience when making requests of other members. I do appreciate his obvious youthful enthusiasm for this forum and think he might have potential, which is why I haven't banned him on a more permanent basis. I hope if he comes back this won't be a necessary course of action for me to take.

I was going to answer his questions tonight - I suppose he can still see the answers if he logs out

Yes, I think banned members can see what's going on through the sound proof windows.

Yes, I think banned members can see what's going on through the sound proof windows. When you ban someone, do you send them an email saying why, or is one automatically generated?

No, I don't send them an e-mail. I am not obliged to do so. Nor is one generated. If they attempt to log in they receive an error message saying "access denied, the owner of this website has banned your IP address."

If they attempt to log in they receive an error message saying "access denied, the owner of this website has banned your IP address." If it's only a temporary ban, it would probably be a good idea to at least let them know why they've been banned, thus decreasing the chances of a repeat offence once they're back. And it would definitely be a good idea to tell them how long they've been banned for. There's no guarantee they'll see any posts mentioning it. For a permanent ban it probably doesn't matter either way.
