Bloody hell, at this rate there's soon going to be more Greens than Tories on here! Indeed. I'll be remaining Tory, for now. Gosh how glad I am for the separate label thoughπ
. Yeah that really makes a difference, not. Don't kid yourself, we all know that The Scottish Conservative Party is subservient to the loons in the Westminster Cabinet.

That's not actually true. We do in fact have very different policies in many areas and our leader, Douglas Ross, went down there and had a go at the English party just last month. We're also much more lockdown sceptical that England is. So get your facts straight before you use insulting SNP attack lines on me.

For optimal amusement and sectarianism we could of course adopt a membership led description system requiring prior approval of the club rooms members rather than our self-identifying system.

Push comes to shove Scottish Conservative MPs follow the party line, is what I'm getting at. What's spouted by the Scottish Conservative leadership counts for Nothing at Westminster. At Holyrood you might have a point but not at Westminster. edit: I'd say the same for the other national parties also.

Except on things like lockdown and free school meals, they're England only issues and so they don't vote on them because it's not their place to.

Even if we wanted to we probably couldn't. It's in the standing orders. English Votes For English Laws, EVEL.

That's the last straw for me. BossMan if I could change my party description from "Conservative and Unionist" to " Independent Unionist" thank you. If I could stay in the Conservative sub forum as well I'd appreciate that thanks I've added you to the already existing "Unionist" group. To have yourself show up as such, just go into "Edit Profile", then under the "Settings" tab at the bottom of the page should be a dropdown menu under the header " Display Group" with which you can chose which group is visible.

Thank you, kind sir. Though the private forum is still titled "Brexit Party". I'm hedging my bets for now and have renamed the board and category to "Reform/Brexit Party".
