Eh? People of "higher social status" round here tend to be of the right. Not by @pjones 's criterion! Im just surprised that there are people of higher social status in Crewe.

Most likely the next 3-5 days will consist of Trump refusing to apologize and escalating the situation with an angry Twitter fight with Pocahontas Warren.

If I could request that you don't try to start a flame war with me by insulting me. In the spirit of the changes recently made to this forum I would like to avoid that kind of thing, thank you. I have removed the offending post. dizz , and anyone else for that matter, I appreciate that @pjones is - shall we say - outspoken on a forum that according to my thread poll is overwhelmingly backing Clinton. But if you don't like his style of posting, you're not obliged to take any notice of it, nor react in a way that obliges me to take action. I didn't read Dizz's post so I don't know what it said. I don't think anyone has a problem with someone being outspoken. The issue is the continous and tedious repetion of the same points.

Does anyone else remember the days when Republicans were decent people? Imagine if one did this today!

why did i even bother hahahahaha I don't know. You gave your opinion, I pointed out why it was wrong. If your going to give your opinions on a discussion board then people are liable to be discussing whether or not they agree with them. The fact that you think Trump is a more honourable man than John Mccain just shows how detached you are from reality and logic.

If you think I'm wrong then you can either give your opinion as to why you think I'm wrong or ignore the post. However I would request that you don't start a flame war with me by issuing personal insults about me. If you wanted to start a flame war and the moderators were happy to allow it then I would be quite happy to go ahead with that. However my understanding of the 'new improved tone' of the forum is that such spats should be prevented. Thank you. @pjones I've received more complaints from you than anyone else combined over the past few days. In this instance, I would surmise that jollyroger93 is making a political criticism of you, rather than directing personal abuse at you.

The fact that you think Trump is a more honourable man than John Mccain just shows how detached you are from reality and logic. John McCain is a vicious warmonger and an establishment stooge. The establishment media likes him because he's always quick to defend the establishment. He's not honourable the fact that you think he is shows that you're getting your version of 'logic and reality' from simply and uncritically swallowing wholesale dishonest establishment media propaganda. I think Anyone who's serviced there Country in the armed forces is an honourable person. Those that have been captured, tortured and been a POW have an even higher standing in my book. To call him an establishment stooge is quite frankly rude and factually incorrect. Mccain has always been know as a republican Maverick.

Three thoughts on Trump's comments and this thread:
1) If Trump had any sense, he would condemn violence and clarify his remarks without retracting them, just like Owen Smith after his gaffe about Theresa May. That he sought to blame the media instead of recognising that he messed up proves he is either stupid or dangerous or both.
2) John McCain's rebuttal to the bigot at his Q&A did imply that Arabs were not good people, which brings its own issues, but given what we have seen so far, the chances of Trump reacting the same way in a similar situation range from slim to nil.
3) Trump really needs to nip the viciousness from his supporters in the bud. Criticise Clinton all you want, even call into question her ethics if need be, but not raising a hand in a hall full of people chanting for her execution is negligent. Remember we laughed at those who said Remainers were traitors until we couldn't anymore...

So why not just say that the lobby will keep lobbying? Could it be because he was talking about AFTER President Clinton has appointed a Justice?

That was one person, not a crowd chanting, and the article itself gives Trump's response That one person is someone Trump puts out on stage. If the boot were on the other foot and an adviser to Clinton said the same, you'd be the first on here criticising.

They are terrible words to be uttered by someone connected to the Trump campaign and he was right to say he did not endorse those words. How much more terrible then the actual murder of the DNC staffer who leaked the Wikileaks e-mails. Or murders committed by known business associates of certain presidential candidates you favour. You may not have noticed by the way that Seth Rich's father isn't impressed by Wikileaks claims. Let alone the fact that if this were an assassination, it's not exactly subtle.

I didn't read Dizz's post so I don't know what it said. I don't think anyone has a problem with someone being outspoken. The issue is the continous and tedious repetion of the same points. Everyone who post regularly here makes multiple posts on the same topic. That's not the same as repetition. For example I have made a number of posts on the topic of Hillary's health, one of the current major controversies in the US surrounding the Presidential election. However these posts have not simply been repetitions of one another but have either included additional information on the topic that was not in earlier posts or have been responses to other posts from other forum members directed at myself. Is it?
