Huntingdonshire, St Neots, Eynesbury. Green, "Independent, Local Issues, Not Local Politics" A person standing for the council doesn’t think their issues are political?

Salisbury will hold a parish poll on April 20th, the question is: "Do you support a 5% cap on future increases to the Salisbury City Council precept and a parish consultation if any proposed increase is larger than 5%?" Yes 992 No 206 On a turnout of just 3.92%.

I wouldn't be happy with a 4% turnout to elect a town councillor, let alone on a vote that ties the hands of said councillors.

For anybody paying attention the LD's have won the Taunton Town Council elections by 19-1. The 1 seat is a Conservative one.

These are not by-elections as such, but Ribble Valley DC have issued a Notice of Election for various parish wards to be held on 22 June. Additionally, notices of several uncontested elections have been issued. I don't understand the timings for these elections, the only explanation I can think of is that an attempt is being made to fill vacancies due to "under-nomination" for 4 May. www.ribblevalley.gov.uk/parish-elections-june-2023/parish-elections-june-2023-1
