What meltdown is this?

They had become moderately competitive in the Rickmansworth town district ward and then won three of the four seats on Batchworth parish council for Rickmansworth town (the district ward includes that ward and Cedars ward of Chorleywood parish). Not long after they all quit and were replaced (by co-option I think) by various Conservatives and Independents. Subsequently their vote also evaporated in the district ward.

in parishes in the councils electing by thirds, which do not have all-out parish elections falling this year,
in unitary counties,
in the handful of all-out councils which do not fall due this year (e.g. Warrington and Huntingdonshire),
or in Welsh communities.

Cherwell - Banbury Town Council - Calthorpe South
Milton Keynes - Olney Town Council
North Hertfordshire - Royston Town Council - Royston South
Three Rivers - Chorleywood Town Council - Chorleywood Cedars and Chorleywood South wards

Though Winterborne St Martin has been run several times with no candidates, so good chance that one will not happen.

Are you sure there's another by-election in Chorleywood South? We did have one on Thursday 19 January 2023.

I'm not sure there is - at least it doesn't appear to be on the notice of election.
