7 December - St. Kingsmark is a ward of Chepstow, not of Monmouth.
The Notice of Election was incorrect; the Notice of Vacancy and the SOPN are correct.

I should have checked, as this isn't the first time they've done it - someone in Electoral Services is clearly a little careless with their copying and pasting.

Cramlington East:
Lab - 64% (+26%) Con - 19% (-3%) Ind - 17%
Big change is the ex-Conservative independent not standing. Given that and the very strong Conservative organisation in the area, a very good result for Labour.

I was intrigued by your comments above about Saltburn, Marske and New Marske parish council, because I remembered party contests there, so I thought I would look back over the history of the parish council. It appears that the parish council went Independent in 2015.
The parish comprised three parish wards, Longbeck, St. Germain’s and Saltburn, each returning 6 members to form a parish council of 18 members. Each parish ward was coterminous with the Redcar and Cleveland borough ward of the same name. Saltburn parish ward covers Saltburn, St. Germain's parish ward covers most of Marske-by-the-Sea and Longbeck covers New Marske and the western end of Marske-by-the-Sea.
When Redcar and Cleveland borough was re-warded in 2019, a part of Longbeck ward, which is in effect an urban overspill of Redcar, was transferred to Wheatlands borough ward. There was no change in the parish boundary, but Longbeck parish ward was split into Longbeck (5 members) and Mickledales (1 member). Mickledales is the urban overspill of Redcar.
3 May 2007 – all three wards were uncontested The parish council was Lab 8, Lib Dem 4, Con 2, Independent 1, Co-option 3 The result in Longbeck was Con 2, Lab 1, Co-option 3
5 May 2011 – only St. Germain’s was contested The parish council was Lib Dem 6, Lab 4, Independent 4, No Description 3, Con 1 The result in Longbeck was Lib Dem 1, Lab 1, No Description 3, Con 1
7 May 2015 – only Saltburn was contested The parish council was Ind 10, Lab 2, Con 1, Pro Interests of Allotment Tenants 1, Co-option 4 The result in Longbeck was Ind 3, Con 1, Co-option 2
2 May 2019 – all four wards were uncontested The parish council was Independent 6, Con 3, No Description 3, Lab 1, Non-Political Description 1, Co-option 4 The result in Longbeck (5 seats) was Con 2, No Description 2, Independent 1 Mickledales was a co-option.
4 May 2023 – all four wards were uncontested The parish council was No Description 8, Independent 4, Lab 2, Non-Political Description 1, Co-option 3 The result in Longbeck (5 seats) was No Description 3, Co-option 2 Mickledales was a co-option. The No Description candidates in Longbeck included Vera Rider, who stood as a Conservative in 2019.
The present vacancy in Longbeck is caused by the resignation of Jacob Phillips (co-option).
Guisborough town council is the only one of the five parishes in Redcar and Cleveland to remain political – Con 10, Lab 3, Independent 3

There are 2 Town council by elections in Somerset on Monday 18th December Burnham on Sea & Highbridge TC, Highbridge ward- LD resignation. 2022 result- LD, LD, LD, Lab, Ind all unopposed Bridgwater TC, Fairfax East ward. Lab death, 2022 result- Lab 305.277. Con 274,267 LD 167 The Bridgwater Fairfax East is an interesting one in terms of candidates standing. The Tory Diogo Rodrigues is a former Labour Councillor who went Independent for 6 months before jumping ship to the Tories and he now represents Bridgwater East and Bawdrip which covers part of this ward on Somerset Council. The Independent, well he would have been if he had not forgotten to fill in the party affiliation box, is Pele Barnes who has stood 4 times previously as a Tory including this ward in the last election. To confuse matters he is in the process of registering a new Party Somerset Unionists which I understand he is the sole member of. The Lib Dem is the Antony Nickolls, supringly Bridgwater is one of the few Towns in Somerset where the Lib Dems just don't perform, who has stood and lost a number of times. Lastly the Labour Candidate is Meghan Boucher who stood in the one Tory safe seat of Wyndham 18 months and did well to increase the Labour vote substantially. I would guess she is probably narrow favourite. By the way not one of the candidates live in the ward.
